Junior World Information

Each year, WJGA hosts the state qualifier for the Junior World Championship held in San Diego, CA. This year the qualifier is being held at the Tumwater Valley Golf Club in Tumwater on July 1, 2008.

EXEMPTION POLICY CONTINUES IN 2008 -

The top 10 boys and the top 10 girls from the 2007 points list who are age eligible for Junior World in 2008 and who are playing in a nationally sanctioned junior event in 2008 that conflicts with their sub district Junior World qualifying tournament, are eligible for an exemption from having to qualify at the sub district level for the junior world state qualifier at Tumwater. Exemptions are NOT automatic and must be requested by the WJGA member.

Requests for exempt status must be submitted to your District Director TBD.

All requests are forwarded by the District Directors to the WJGA Executive Director for final approval.

It is the responsibility of the player to bring his/her exempt
status and requests for exemption to the attention of their director.

If you earn an opportunity to play in the national event, you must have your parent's permission to give tournament officials your answer about whether or not you will actually play in that event prior to the beginning
