From WA Golf:

Max Herendeen of Bellevue and Charlie Palmer of Paradise Valley, Ariz. each shot 3-under-par 69 and survived a three-for-two playoff to tie for medalist honors at today’s U.S. Junior Amateur Qualifier hosted by Circling Raven Golf Club in Worley, Idaho.

Herendeen and Palmer claimed the two available qualifying spots after leading the field of 44 players who attempted to qualify for the USGA Championship which takes place July 25-30 at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Ore.

Herendeen is a two-time WJGA State Champion and recently won the WJGA Players Open last month at The Links GC. Herendeen also finished in 4th place and earned team MVP honors at last year’s Junior Americas Cup representing WJGA.

To be eligible for the US Junior Amateur, golfers must have a Handicap Index of 4.4 or less and all entrants must not have reached their 19th birthday by June 30, 2022.
