TEAM WASHINGTON
New in 2026, WJGA in partnership with WA Golf, will be launching the Team Washington U.S. National Development Program (USNDP). Complete information and how to qualify for the team will be posted in the coming months, but please visit the Team Washington FAQ page for now for information on the new program.
QUALIFYING FOR WJGA TEAMS
Girls' Junior Americas Cup Team (GJAC) 2026: July 20-23, 2026 at Illahe Hills CC in Salem, OR. Hosted by Oregon Golf Association.
Junior Americas Cup Team (JAC) 2026: July 27-30, 2026 at Guadalajara CC in Guadalajara, Mexico. Hosted by Mexican Golf Federation.
Washington Junior Golf Association welcomes junior golfers who live in Northern Idaho and in Umatilla County, Oregon. These players are a key part of WJGA, and some may wish to represent Washington on our teams. Those teams are the Boys and Girls Junior Americas Cup, the Hogan Cup and the North Pacific Junior Ladies Team Matches.
Any player who is a resident of Idaho or Oregon, and will be attempting to make any of those teams, must declare at the BEGINNING OF THE SEASON if they wish to represent their state of residence or Washington. That declaration may be made to the District Tournament Director or directly to the WJGA office at . Boys and girls playing in the 14-15 or 16-18 divisions will be eligible to earn points. To be eligible for teams or for the Player of the Year Award, the player must play in at least one WJGA sub-district event, or two WJGA Spring events (Opens, Match Play & Jr. World Qualifier).
WJGA Teams will be selected as follows:
Boys and Girls Junior America’s Cup (4 Players on each team)
These teams will be selected based on combined total points earned at the following events:
- Total points earned from the State Match Play, Western Open, Eastern Open, Players Open, WA State Junior Amateur and Joel Dahmen Invitational, plus;
*Any boy/girl ranked in the top-100 of the Junior Golf Scoreboard Ranking as of June 1st that plays in at least two of the six WJGA JAC/GJAC team qualifying events during the current season earns an automatic spot on the team.
Hogan Cup – Boys
August 7-9, 2026 - Riverside G&CC - Portland, Oregon
(4 players) The Hogan Cup team will be chosen immediately following the conclusion of the WJGA Cup. The top-4 point earners at the conclusion of the WJGA Cup, regardless of whether or not the player was on the JAC team will earn a spot on the Hogan Cup team.
North Pacific Junior Ladies – Golden Eagle GC - Pitt Meadows, B.C. - May 21-23, 2026
(4 players) This team will be selected on total points earned for the entire 2025 season. This is a Curtis Cup style match play event with Washington competing in team match play against 4 girls from each of Oregon, B.C. and Alberta. In order to be eligible for selection, players must be a confirmed member of WJGA for the 2026 season.

Player of the Year Awards To be awarded based on total points earned at the conclusion of the PNGA Junior Boys' and Girls' Championships.
Cup Team positions will be filled by WJGA members who are permanent residents of the WJGA area and who have not reached their 19th birthday by the last day of the specific competition. Permanent residents are those who live in the WJGA territory during the summer season and are either US Citizens or non-citizens who have permanent resident status.
