Suzie Tran Wins Notah Begay Jr. National
Suzie Tran of Poulsbo, and a WJGA District 3 Member fired a final round 7-under par to win the Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship at Koasati Pines at Coushatta Resort in Kinder, La. The three-day tournament for players 14-18 years old concluded on Monday, November 15th.
Tran’s final round included seven birdies and 11 pars to give her a one stroke victory over Isabella McCauley from Minnesota.
Bellevue’s Angela Zhang finished second place in the Girls 13-under division after firing a final round 4-under par 68.
The Notah Begay III Jr Golf National Championship Series (NB3 JGNC) is a 2-stage qualifying process culminating in a 54-Hole National Championship that will air on Golf Channel during a 2-hour broadcast that airs in December each year. Players from across the world will come together in Kinder, LA at the beautiful Koasati Pines Golf Club at Coushatta Resort to compete against one another on a National Stage.
