Qualifying for the State Championship
Each district is allocated a specific number of spots for each division. Boys’ spots are allocated primarily based on the number of participants in sub-district events. Girls’ spots are based on the average scores posted in sub-district play statewide. The highest finishers in each division at the District Championship win the spots allocated to the district. Any ties for the last spot in each division will playoff. If a boy player from that district cannot play at state, the first alternate will take his place. Starting on the Sunday before State, the vacancy will be filled from the host district (District one in 2022). In the case of girls, any qualifier who cannot play at State will be replaced from a statewide alternate pool, and be selected by the Executive Director based on average score.
